Yank is a great converter but seems their 3600 doesn't perform as well as others sometimes. I absolutely love my 4k..

What converter would you recommend for me to still drive it on the street and track.

If you have the stock 2.73 rear, nothing is going to help.
As mentioned above, determine the gear ration and let us know.

Ptc 3600-4000 depending on future plans.

I would need to know 100% full mod list and info about passes before i said 100% the converter swap would fix the 60'.

The first pass went 12.62 with a 1.89 60ft time that was racing with the car in overdrive.

but all of my passes have been 1.8 60ft times. the car doesn't seem to be spinning and it launches right around 3000-3200 but when you let off the gas and your just coasting the car does this strange bucking. but only when your coasting.

the mods are torquer v2 cam unsure of heads think there stock, yank 3600 stall, pacesetter headers ORY magnaflow muffler, trans cooler, hoosier quick time pros 26in tire, has a fast 92 on it but hasn't been tuned for it yet

Get a proper tune.. Take it to the track... Let me know when you get a clean pass after that.

Vengeance has tuned the car but that was prior to the fast 92 going on. The car surged real bad when I first got it so I took it over there and they tuned it then.

I went 1.6 consistent on motor with the mods in my signature. Its a good converter imo. I have a whole new setup tho with an FTI. no new track times. Its ok just a little tight. Plan on sending it back to be adjusted a bit.

I also cut a 1.5 60 foot with the yank 3600 on spray.

Some 373s will wake it up for sure. and a torque arm man.

Like I said they tuned it and fixed the power surge but someone told me that when the car is coasting and it starts jerking it could be the torque converter also. I'm gone call them tomorrow.

In that case.. ptc 3600-4000.. Bucking is 95% of the time tune related.. Gears/cam/converter selection can as well. It can almost always be tuned put though.

Thanks for the help. I'll let you know what happens. What all is done to your car what kind of times do you see out of it.

I ran 7.2-7.3s @ 95 1.50-152 short time barely spinning or so with the old 346 combo.. 3500# 2200+da nitrous tune.. 226 cam ls6 intake ported milled 317s ptc 4000. Real budget friendly setup but it performed well.
The current combo is a 370 lq9 based build.. Ls3 top end.. ptc 3500.. 200 shot.
Im looking for low 6s@110 or so on 200 granted the drive line holds up.. Once i get a new trans and rear ill move up to the 300.
