Default 93 ecm/harness swap to 94-95 style

I'm looking to swap my 93 computer and harness for a 94-95 ecm and harness. My question, as far as the harness what are the differences between the 93 to 94-95. I know the later has heated o2 connections and I'm guessing MAF connections. What else will I need to look into for this swap? Thanks

You're looking at making several changes from converting to 93 OBDI to 94-95 OBDI using a 94-95 harness.

Upgrade to heated O2s.
Change the fuel injectors from 22# to 24#.
Add a MAF (change the intake ducting).

Just a few things off the top of my head. I'm hungover and foggy.

Look into the EFICONNECTION conversion. Save yourself the headache

Thanks, I did know about the maf, the injectors are aftermarket already. The heated o2 is going to be a plus. Thanks again

You will need to swap the IAC and bottom plate of the TB. 93s are different from all other years.

You can also call Bill @ BP automotive. He's a sponsor on here as well (Green96TA). He had 2 93 swap harnesses in his shop he was getting ready to do for customers.

Would also need to lengthen the harness for the oil pressure sending switch. 93 Com port under the dash may be different as well.

Thanks for all the info, especially you Shbox. That chart is helpful. Looks like I'll be going for a 94 ecm/harness. One thing I see is the difference in the fuel lines between the 93 and 94...is that something that needs to be changed? Or was that a revision to the setup?

If you keep your existing intake, you won't need to do anything with the fuel lines. If you decide to do a later model intake, you can get a new set of lines from GM (goes from under the driver's set to the engine) and they are cheap. 94 and 95 harnesses are virtually the same (though an early 94 harness would have the oil pressure sensor connector where your 93's is).

[edit] forgot that beginning in 1995, the C105 connector was added, so a 94 harness would match up best to your 93 with less chance of having to repin anything. Gauges should work, but might have to repin to get the serial data line to the DLC-not positive about that.

Thanks shbox! I think Im looking at buying a new harness so I'll have to look around. And New Orleans its a t56. One more thing, all my gauges should work with the new harness/ecm?

You won't find a new GM harness and any other harness would be terribly expensive new. Find a good, used 94 harness. Also please note edit in my previous post.

Thank you again, I figured I would not find a factory harness, I spoke with a gentleman today that makes harnesses for the lt1. It's going to run me about $550, but ill have the piece of mind that its new. It won't be wired for emissions but most if those are off of my car anyway. I was told it was a stand alone harness that will run the motor.
