Default Looking to get wet plate kit... Quick question!

I would like to port and polish my stock throttle body. If I do so and buy a plate kit will I have to port match my plate and tb so I don't have a lip. Or would it not be enough to hurt hp.. Thanks in advanced guys!

Most of the time the throttle blade diameter stays the same so it would be the same size on the back side where the plate would mount, the front side of the throttle body is ported basically into a funnel type shape. The porting does not make the throttle body bigger in most cases.

I always thought that you pp both ends of the tb.. So your only supposed to do the inlet side then?

yes. just the inlet side of TB. If u open it up u will notice that it will have a small lip on the bottom inlet of it. Smooth that out and polish around the inside. Could polish the throttle blades to and grind the screws down if u wanted.

They say air moves more freely over a scratched surface rather than a smooth surface. Just what i have always heard.

You'll be ok without having to port the plate.
