Default Flooded ls1. Need help diagnosing what happened

Flooded my engine. I tried turning it back on a couple times but it was dead. Had to push it out onto dry area. Tried tuning it on & hours later and it sounded like I blew a gasket or pistons I'm not sure what exactly. All I know is that bolts And pieces of metal came out from under the car. I need to know exactly what's wrong and what I need to get fixed. This happened earlier today on my way to work. It's a 2001 camaro ss

Water got in the motor and when you tried to start it the water doesn't compress, so the connecting rod(s) broke and punched a hole in the block. Sorry to say it but you'll need a new motor now.

Well what are the signs? Do I look for pistons or blown gaskets. My motor looks intact. I checked and all I see are pieces of my oil pan. Just the bolt and little fragments. Not sure what happend?

Yes. My car turned off and would struggle turning on so I guess it flooded and wouldn't turn back on. So I pushed for a bit and I tried it again. It turned on but sounded nasty and I tried reverse and I hear metal scratching and it turned off again. Then 8 hours later I turned it on again and it spilled mi oil and broke my oil pan?

The water was not that deep. Not deep enough to get inside the car or in through the exhaust. The only thing is that the car is a bit lowered from the front. Still not so low that it would go inside

The water got sucked up by the intake not the exhaust. If a connecting rod went through the oil pan the block might be ok but the motor needs to be removed to replace any broken rods and have the whole motor checked.
