Dont put Methanol in a aluminum container by any means. Methanol which is another form of alcohol is corrosive and can damage SOME metals and plastics. From the top of my head the safest storage/container to keep meth is...Mild steel, stainless steel, vulcanized natural rubber and thats all I can remember. I know aluminum is a NOT along with lead, zinc and etc etc a few others and plastidip wont help much to the best of my knowledge

You could coat the inside of the cell same as you would for any fuel usage, to protect it from the corrosive effects.

I've used one for the past 2 years for my meth tank and I honestly haven't seen any corrosion or problems with it. It sits right next to the aluminum fuel cell with E85.

Pure methanol is corrosive and will attack aluminum. The higher the temp the faster it attacks it. I've been using my stock windshield washer reservoir for my tank.

Aluminum cell will be just fine. If you are worried have it hard anodized.

Go look at all the top Alky cars, 99% of them will have aluminum. We have run them for years with 100% methanol, no issues. Just my 0.02

Most times we leave the tank full for weeks at a time.
