1999 Z28 Camaro LS1 Rod Spun out Hello!
I have a 1999 Z28 Camaro. Motor had a knock in bottom of motor. Had a mechanic pull the motor and he claims 2 rods are spun out and motor needs replaced. He also has offered to buy the vehicle from me. I have no idea what its worth. Car has about 145k miles. This same mechanic rebuilt the transmission less than two years ago, less than 10k miles ago. Cost me $1800. It's got an SS hood on it, leather, T-tops. Here is a picture of the car:

Agreed I just picked up myself a 98 WS6 Vert with #6 Rod bearing spun and I paid 4200.00 and everyone is saying I got a damn good deal. I say rebuild or buy another short block.....
