Does anyone have the valve timing events for the 12480110 ASA LS3 Cam?

Scroll down to all most the bottom of the page. It's the 2nd from the bottom set of specs.

That's the only one I found also but something about it doesn't match up with some of the paperwork I have that came with mine.

So what does your paperwork say?
Yeah the ASA is suppose to be a 226/236 110lsa, but specs on the link says 224/235 110+3 @ .05" lift. I'm sure the 224/235 is a error, but I'm not sure whether the 107 ICL is correct or not.

Cam Lift: .525” Intake / .525” exhaust
Cam Duration @ .050”: 226 deg. Intake / 236 deg. Exhaust
Lobe Separation: 110 Degree
Plus, that article was written before they introduced the LS3 525hp crate engine. What is given with mine is a .002" higher lift and higher durations.

Nope, just that it's the 110 LSA.

I guess it is very possible that with the 4X sprocket single bolt setup, they changed the specs a little, but it would be news to me. I didn't know they changed the specs from the old ASA cam

Kypher,

Can you scan your paperwork or take a few good pictures of it at least?

Crane used the grind the hotcam, asa cam, and grand am cup cam for GM...when Crane went out of business, GM got someone else to grind them. Cams like the GM847 LT1 cam are still around, just have a different part number now. The hotcam, asa cam, a GA cup cam or showroom stock cam as it is also known, have been around since LS1's cam out...if there is any change to the specs, its because the new company grinding the cams is using there own lobes and got them as close to the original specs as they could.

I don't know enough cams to make an educated decision, but if two cams are said to be "the same" how close would the cam cards be?

Here is the Howard Cams ASA cam card:

I am open to suggestions from people that know better. The new Holley software allows a very detailed configuration of the Injector Phase Angle. In order to populate this table the information on the cam card is needed.

I have the GM ASA cam, but so far I have yet to find a cam card for that cam. The Howard Cams ASA cam is said to have "advanced lobes" for more power.

Having said all that and for the purposes that I need, will the Howard Cams ASA card be "close enough?"

How would I know that? Is the Howards cam ground with 4* advance?

Well....I believe the Howard cam is 4* advance.

gagliano7 posted specs with valve events identical to the Howard's cam.....and his spec card shows 110* + 4* LSA.

So there's that.
