Default 2nd gear grunt/grind with viper stlye gear

hey guys i jus rebuild the whole transmisson with tick performance rebuild kit with every top dollar option im pretty pissed cause i dont know why the hell my 2 gear "viper style" is grunting and grinding....when im banging gears, downshifting, and sumtimes when i granny shift it WTF help me figure this out....maybe the ******** at the transmission shop fucked up the install???spent 3,150 parts and labor should be shifting like a dream !

Could be a number of things. Was the 1-2 slider replaced along with the blocker rings? The 2nd gear uses a double cone synchro where the old non wear fri film comes are reused with new blockers. Did it grind in 2nd before the rebuild?

no did not grind before rebuild with stock transmission...but today its shifting fine when i granny shift it..as for synchros they are brand new i bought this kit http://www.tickperformance.com/ticks...transmissions/ ......and bought every top dollar option...and thank you for responding..77 views and one response LOL

Ya man I actually go to college at UCF but I'm from south florida. It's only doing it in 2nd gear right? I would try bleeding everything one more time and see what happens, if it still does it take it back to the trans shop. If its doing it now and t wasn't before and the clutch is bled then the trans has to be torn down again.

It's unlikely but you could have gotten defective blocker ring, gear or slider
