I chose the hi ram. Just a good looking intake that has nice equal length runners and supposedly some pretty good gains everywhere above 5000 rpms depending on who you believe.

Look on Ebay or one of the sponsors on here. I think Mike @ FSKSpeed had a good deal on them with fuel rails. Not sure about now.

have you considered Edelbrocks XT?

Did holley address all of the minor issues that they were having with their intake? I remember the cathedral port intakes were having alot of alignment issues.

Actually was square port intake with the issues. Got mine (cathedral) no issues at all. Looked just fine to me.

I sell the Edelbrock and the Holly intakes at the above link. Let me know if you have any questions. Bob

After talking with Kurt Urban with the same question about intakes, I now have a Super Vic with elbow. He also said the ProFlo was nice but that HE had issues with the High Ram.

That was enough for me!

Btw, 6l here also going for max effort with stock block, crank, and 317s to see what we get! Oh, most importantly a S500-88 will be testing the limits of these parts.

Which hi-ram did he have issues with? Cathedral port or the square port version? There were quite a few that had issues with the square port.

Doesn't the victor intakes have air distribution issues that take a lot of work to fix ??

I was under the impression that the shops that saw issues with the Hi-Ram never experienced any issues with the cathedral port intakes, only the square port. I have been wrong before....but I can tell you I compared my hi-ram to the factory intake and the injectors sat almost exactly the same position and depth as far as I could tell.

That and I have heard of them being air restrictive. Not sure sure if that is true though.

I guess I should have looked closer at mine before I put it on. Seems to be working though.

I will check it when my new motor goes in
