Default Help, car won't start (yes I searched...)

Hi all, car is a 2000 Trans Am, basically stock. I am running into a condition where the car won't start. When I turn the key I hear the fuel pump prime (just replaced last year with a Racetronix) but the starter does not turn over. I don't hear the solenoid click either. No other abnormal noises noted.

The security light flashes on the dash so I thought this was a VATS issue. I got under the dash tonight with a multimeter and the orange wrapped white wires from the ignition cylinder were coming up as having the same resistance as the key's resistor when the key was inserted. I went ahead and did the VATS bypass mod anyway getting the resistor pack to within 20 ohms of nominal resistance. Still no start.

I got under the car and smacked the starter with a BFH a few times for good measure.

Any other ideas? Perhaps the starter just crapped out? Thanks.

Check the starter relay....swap it with one of the fan relays next to it and try to start it.

It ended up being the starter relay, if anyone else has this problem...
