will be going s480... but what one?!?!
well i plan on goin to an s480 on my build now.. but im kinda in the air of what one to go with...
i kinda wanted to stay with a T4 based turbo but im asking why i havent build the hotside or anything yet so i wouldnt have to "change" anything.
turbos im looking at:
s480R billet 92mm turbine T4 1.1 ar
s480ET-r HO billet 96mm turbine T6 1.3 ar (or 1.1 if i could get it )
motor/setup
forged 347 ls6 23x/22x turbo cam AFR230s 9.5ish compression
3200 stall 4l80
2004 GTO
10-12 lbs boost on the street hopefully 600+ hp that way
18-22lbs 91oct+meth and whatever she makes there
pros/cons of each??
the ET-r should be good for a few100 hp over the other right? newer comp heel and bigger turbine..
street driving wont be too bad still i think and it will really wake up when i like the fire..
discuss please

I went with the 92mm 1.10 t6 cast 80 for my build, but I am also using a 5.3 motor. I guess if you want room to grow the 96mm cast would be great and you can always upgrade later. Quick spool the 92mm would be my choice, more drag race oriented go with the 96mm. Just my thoughts.

The cam is wrong for a S480. Theres no reason to have a reverse split camshaft in the motor with that turbo. The 96mm/1.32 ar is the only turbine that is reccommended to go behind the billet wheel. Its the only one that has the capacity to make the compressor work properly.
The cast 80 with the gates pinned shut made 23 psi and 1040 hp. On the same motor (365 ci LS motor) the Billet wheel turbo made 1289@ 29 psi.

Thanks guys.. I kinda figured the cam would need to go also By would need to sell it off and I'm having trouble getting rid of the turbo I have now being that the price I need to ask for it you can get an s480... So this cam and turbo may have to go in. And then I can change later or something
