Default 4L60E car stops running when shifted into gear?

As said, This is a FLT level 6 and yank SS 4000 stall converter, car has run fine in the past but now when I start the car it idles fine and when I shift into reverse or drive the engine stops running, if I keep my foot on the brake and giving a lite throttle it stays running. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

This could be a sensor issue of course, or the lockup clutch could be getting partially engaged. The later could be due to a leak in the TCC solenoid or the clutch material inside the converter has warped.

Try driving the car around. If it feel good moving, but then starts bucking as you brake to a stop, that IMHO is likely a lockup clutch problem.
