Default 5.3l

Hey guys! I have a LT1 right now and just bought a 2004 5.3 ls. I know a little bit about LS motors. I know stock 5.3 motors can handle a beating. Im thinking about a turbo build. Is there any weak parts in a 5.3? I want this motor pretty much bullet proof. I don't really have a car planned to put the thing in. I might swap the LT for the LS but not sure yet.

People push these things to hell with a stock bottom end and boosted. What are your HP goals?

depending on how much boost you plan to put into the motor ,you mite consider a aluminum intake .you can find used ones on here for $300.

ARP studs, good head gaskets, a good oil pump, and a small cam if you want and you got a power monster with the right setup.
