Default 02 ws6 Air delete

I am buying some race headers and wanted to know what exactly needs to be done to do the air delete. What do I need and how hard is it?

You can just rip it out. The pump is located behind the driver's side headlight area; follow the rubber AIR hose that goes into your intake lid and it will lead you to the pump. Just disconnect the pump and start removing the rubber hoses. There are four hoses, I believe: the one from the lid to pump, another from the pump to the area next to the rear of the intake manifold, and the last two are the ones that extend down to the exhaust manifolds.

I didn't want to mess with getting the hoses disconnected from behind the intake manifold because my back is messed up. What I did was remove the metal connections to the stock manis and left the remainder of the rubber hoses. Only about three inches stick out from under the dash cowl. I left everything else and just pulled the fuse for the AIR system and my tuner cleared the resulting codes when he was tuning the car.

Unless you are aiming to clean up the engine bay, or want to save a couple pounds of weight, it's easier just to pull the fuse and tuck those hoses out of sight.

Plug it up. I believe a freeze plug will fit in the side of the lid
