Default Quick question about handhelds

So, when I bought my 1998 Camaro Z28 A4 it had cam, longtubes etc. The guy that owned it when all this was installed had the car dyno tuned and the tune is great. The problem is, I put a 150 shot on the car hoping the knock sensors would tune the car for it (dumb, I know) but I'm new to the LS game. So I'm getting a little detonation, and the shift points arent keeping up on spray. So basically my question is if I buy a predator tuner just to pull a little timing and turn the shift points down, will it just modify the dyno tune thats in the car or will it return the car back to a stock tune and pull the timing out of that? Like i said, I like the tune thats on the car driveability wise so i dont want to lose it. Please, I dont want any replies flaming me telling me to go get a dyno tune. Im not too worried about hurting the car, plus I want to get this tuner tomorrow and head to the track for TNT.

Thanks in advance.
