Default Dyno Vid of my Car Dubbed AngryBird

Last fall we had a local dyno day so I dropped in to make a couple pulls. It was a last minute decision to attend so the vid was taken with my cell phone not my video camera.

Sry, thought I still had them in my sig.

Not much really, full exhaust, lid, SSF3500, 3:42 gear, all BMR suspension, 100 shot on that pull and a good bit of tuning.

477 rwhp with bolt ons and a 100 shot is pretty damn good! Torque seems a tad low though

Word is that the dyno is not the most accurate and a lot of guys dyno some pretty big numbers.
There is definitely a problem with the machine or the algorithum it uses to calculate hp and tq. I looked at my graph a few weeks after the pull pretty closely and the curve just isn't right.
I think the tq # is pretty close for the pull but the HP # is probably about 20 -30 hp too high.

Oh I should add that a few years back I dynoed the car on motor on a DynoJet and it went 33x/34x. Have to dig up the exact numbers.

So according to this dyno you gained like 140 plus rwhp then lol? Yeah it sounds a bit goofy to be honest lol.

I would agree except that when the car was last dynoed I was "less modded"
Dyno numbers really don't mean much, too me anyway. I use it more as a tool.
To compare, when I dynoed a couple years back I was running 12.9 to 13.0. Now I run 12.6's on motor and 11.6's on the 100 shot.

I do agree that the hp number is likely a bit high. I think it probably made somewhere in the 440 -450 range legitimately.

Yeah that sound more like it really. Case in point: My buddy has a full bolt ons 2000 SS that made 350/355 n/a. On a 125 shot it made 460/505. This was done before and after on the same dyno. I agree with on the dyno numbers not meaning much though, and constantly stress that point to all these guys that are reaching for some magical number lol
