I bought some kit that says its for 4 wheels....I chose gloss gunmetal and it came w/ 4 cans of gunmetal and 3 cans of gloss. I forget what I paid b/c it was months ago. Just need time and good weather now.

Word to the wise, make sure the surface is completely smooth and clean and dry before applying the dip. I thought I'd use it to cover up my flaking wheel paint but it shows the seams through the dip. Make sure it's completely dry including inside the lug holes as the dip will "pull" the water out and it will drip down the wheel and create water bubbles.

I dipped my TSW Montages that came on my car when I bought it. I just really wasn't a fan of the silver lips on them. Until I can get some lighter matte black RPF1s for road racing, these will do for DD Duties. The plan is to dip the whole car matte white soon. I'll post up a new thread if the weather cooperates and I have time after I do my clutch this weekend.

Took 2.5 cans to do all four wheels, about 6 coats per wheel. Took the wheels off and degreased and washed them with soap and a mitt. Let them air dry, and then hit them with a leaf blower to get any residual water out of the crevices and small spots.
Then just laid light coats on with about 5 minutes in between.

I now have 4-5 cans of GM plastidip and glossifier that I can't figure what to do with.
