Question 1993 pontiac trans am 5.7 ignition module

i have a 1993 lt1 trans am i keep burning thru ignition modules
now my security system doesnt work my light stays on i dk if thats an issue?
my first ignition module lasted 3 months then i got another one lasted two days the third one seems to be doing fine can i relocate it to help ? anything would help

Thousands of LT1 ICMs survive where they are with no problem. Are you sure you are using heat sink compound when reinstalling?

Yea everytime ive put one in im wondering if the msd coil may possibly be shorted or if i shorted the ignition system would a msd ignition module be better i have msd coil distributor and vsm wires n ngk plugs

I don't think MSD makes an ICM. Make sure all you engine grounds are good.
