Default 1997 Trans Am - Weird Noise

The car is a 1997 Trans Am, it has close to 145,xxx miles on it.

My question today is that the car makes a weird high pitched noise, while idling and driving.

While idle, it sounds like it to the left of the engine. While driving, it sounds like it's coming from the rear seat.

It is a persistant sound and it high pitch and gets very annoying.

Any ideas on what it could be? I was thinking an exhaust leak.

The car is auto and it does it when it is on. When I have key in accessory mode it doesn't make that sound.

You need to find out where it's coming from, it could really be a number of things. Air conditioning comes to mind.

Posting an accurate video of the noise would be incredibly helpful.
