Default fouling plugs

car will run but wont idle and is very rich when it does crank. i am having trouble with plugs fouling. sometimes motor tries to crank but won't. it will have a strong gas smell. current tune is just a stock 2001 truck tune. my setup is listed below:

lq4 6.0,
ported and shaved .030 ls6 heads (243s)
comp xer273hr cam
ls2 intake
42lb injectors
92mm tb
dual cone cai

i am using hp tuners for tuning. where and what do i need to do to change injectors settings?
should i copy a tune from a ls2 vette or gto for starters since my setup is close to the ls2?
can someone help before i blow something up.

42# injectors + stock tune = fouled plugs (if your lucky, that's all it did - you can wash the rings running it so rich). You should never even start an engine with bigger injectors until you put a tune in it for the injectors...

You need to get the proper data for the injectors you have and put it into the tune. If you don't know what you are doing, maybe you should consider getting a reputable tuner to work on it...

Couldn't have said it any better, you hit the nail on the head.

If you are familiar with HPT I can build you a good base tune and you can then finish the dialing it in.
