Default Polish for TT2..

Ive done searches and have asked members about what polish with there TT2. I was looking for something off the shelf. Unfortunately i will have to do it all by hand. Just wondering what polish works for great results and doesnt require alot of effort.

I seen members suggest mothers, but i hear it takes forever with that polish. Ive narrowed my choice down to white diamond, meguairs metal polish, never dull!! Just wondering if you guys have experience with these and if they are good to go and wont mess up my rims.. Thanks fellas..

what about the "never dull" isnt that what comes in the little silver can and has the cloth in it?

Ive used that before and it doesnt take alot to polish something.

I havent used on TT2's or anything but i do have ZR1 that will need polishing someday.

I used White Diamond metal polish on my old TTIIs and it works very good by hand. When I get my new wheels tomorrow I will be using a drill and an attachment to apply the polish.

The old TTII's had some curb rash when I bought them used locally. I just bought a set from an Ebay vendor for 700 +50 shipping and they will be here tomorrow. Brand new!!

I use Never Dull on my wheels and have never had nothing but good results. Just polish the wheel with the "fabric" leave it alone for about 30 min and it will turn white (or from what i hear depending on the metal, black). Then you just hand buff it off. Around here a lot of military service members also use it for their military uniform medals and regalia

I use white diamond and it works well, the only issue is that it is a little watery instead of a paste, so applying it can be a little bit more difficult.

White diamond will be a good one. It's a rouge dissolved in a liquid like several other niche brands (Green Magic, Blue Magic, etc sold at flea markets and swap meets).

Mothers Mag or Billet is also pretty good off the shelf. Do yourself a favor though and order some Adams polish, that's what I will be doing.

I hate Never Dull with a passion. Meguires Hot Rims metal polish (in the can similar to mothers, smells like cinnamon gum) is also a very poor polish IMO unless I just got a bad can (it doesn't seem as paste like as it should).

Eagle 1 Nano Polish is utter crap. Might as well be trying to polish with vaseline.

This. OTC Mother's has worked best for me. The billet polish is finer than the mag/aluminum, so depending on what condition the wheels are in will dictate what you use.

So far Adam's is the best that I've used. #1 cuts really well and finishes down nice but leaves little tracers/marring. #2 is super fine and leaves nothing behind. I would also look into getting some good MF utility towels, I get the white ones from detailing.com.

Junk MF towels from Auto Zone and the like can leave marring on polished wheels. There's nothing worse than trying to get a mirror like shine only to have cheap towels wreck it.

Since they are new I don't think it will be a problem.

I've had excellent luck with an inside out sock for polishing then a soft small terry cloth towel for removing the polish, then a soft large terry cloth for final buffing.

I use the Mothers on my HRE's... Have to use a little elbow grease, but the results speak for themselves...

I use Adams 1 and 2 on my CCW's and the finished product looks outstanding with very little effort.
