Default Hood material

Hi! New CTS-V 2005 owner here. Pretty happy with the car so far.

I'll start with a really simple question : what is the stock hood of my car made off? I've done some research but did'nt find any clear answer.

Sorry for the bad english, i'm a french canadian!

...And a fiberglass version would be heavier, if that's where you were going with this.

It will stay stock unless something bad happens. CF would then be the only option.

I was just wondering what it was cause it definitely didn't sound like steal.

Thanks for the info!

I believe my EC hood was ~6 lbs heavier. But since it helps dissipate heat from the Maggie, I thought it was worth the extra weight.
