pilot bearing situation!! help needed!!

Default pilot bearing situation!! help needed!!

so i tried using the good old bread method to try and get my broken pilot bearing ... lets just say .. i GOT NO WHERE!!!! after i removed the bread.. i saw that i pushed the freeze plug backa good inch... please someone give me some idead on what i should do about the freeze plug and the PILOT BEARING FROM HELL!!

I borrowed a slide hammer from Autozone. It had an attachment with three, "teeth" that would expand. Got that **** out in about 10 minutes.

Not sure if the freeze plug will cause any issues.

This. I used the tool from autozone also its quick and easy. The bread as you found out risks freeze plug damage. Not sure if you can go ahead with it like that maybe ask a mechanic an inch is a pretty long way

the autozone tool is the best way to go, helped my buddy do his and done it in no time with ease. post pics of the freeze plug

I've drilled into the side of the pilot bearing then hammered it into the center so it crushes in on its self...takes 5 min

Pilot bearing puller and a big slide hammer worked really well for me.

the pictures i took you really couldnt see anything .. but i measured the distnace and it was about 3 inches in

also did you guys use the pilot bearing puller to remove the freeze plug?

You don't remove the freeze plug to replace the pilot bearing. If you're trying to pull the freeze plug back into place, I don't believe it will work like that. I think you'll need to drop the oil pan to put the plug back in place.
