Default Aftermarket 3.5" 1350 Aluminum Drive Shaft

Category: Accessories
Price: $175
Part Fits: 93-02 Chevrolet Camaro, 93-02 Pontiac Firebird
Location (State): KS
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item Can be Shipped
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine

Building an 8.8 hybrid rearend for my car, and had to go a different route with the torque arm. The 3.5" aluminum drive shaft does not give me enough clearance for my jegster torque arm. I really don't want to sell it, but am forced to go another direction. THIS IS NOT A FACTORY ALUMINUM SHAFT! It is bigger in diameter and comes with better Spicer components, but is stock length.

Weight savings over the stock steel shaft is pretty considerable. This piece is very well balanced and really cleaned up the vibrations I had a certain speeds with the stock unit. It has a Spicer yoke and u-joints. I bought it used for my LS swap. I've put 2500+ miles on it with no issues. It does have some scratches from the previous owner, it looks like it got too close to an exhaust clamp. On the tranny yoke end, it looks like they may have dropped/bumped the shaft where the u-joint clip goes in. Causes no issues, and is purely cosmetic.

New 3.5" aluminum drive shafts go for $400+.

Asking $175, I would prefer a local sell, but will ship if I have to at the buyers expense.

Here it is in a side by side comparison with a stock shaft. This is an older picture from when I first purchased the drive shaft.

the shaft is stock length. will work with stock setups from 84-02 for sure. i had it on a 6.0/t56, the previous owner had it in his l98/t56, both set up in stock configuration with a 10 bolt.

scj, i don't know that information or i would have posted it. due to the spicer joints and the size, i would guess its built to hold some power.

95 lt1, you have a pm.

Moser said it must be (45-1/4") seal to center seal to center. Could you get it measured there and let me know? If so I will take it.

not totally sure by what you mean.

from the end of the tranny slip yoke to the center of the u-joint is just over 6 inches, center of u-joint to center of u-joint is 41"...47" from end of the slip yoke to the center of the rear u-joint. the slip is about 3 3/4" long before it gets into the thicker part of the tranny end yoke.

clear as mud?

He said it has to be an inch longer than a stock drive shaft to work. You said yours is the same length as stock right?
