Default New to me ss owner worth it?

I am new to this site so please excuse me if I am posting wrong. Anyway just bought my first Camaro SS 1999 covertible. It had 78000 miles on it. It was lowered when I bought it and has corvette rims. I paid 8900 for the car and I am wondering if I got bent over or got a ok deal? So far I have had to put in a radiator, tranny mount, torque arm bushing, and have had to pay a shop to fix a leaking timing chain cover. However the cover was off so for precaution I put in New oil pump mallory m295 , water pump, and new timing chain and sprockets. I am about $10300 into this car and feel like I might have been bent over. On the good side I can not find any other issues with the car. So just wondering what someone with experience with these cars thinks? Thanks Wess.

That price is about right. Despite being low miles it is still a 14 year old car. Maintenance like that is to be expected.

I'd say that's pretty fair considering the relatively low miles (for the year). I paid $11,000 for my 2002 with 65k miles February 2012. It only needed a battery and a window motor and was stock sans a Flowmaster muffler.

Every used car has issues unless the mileage is ultra low. Even then sometimes fluids or tires need to be changed.
Putting in $2,000 on a car from the 90's, on top of the buying price, should be expected within the first year, especially with close to 80k miles on the odometer. Whether it be tires, brakes, repairs, or cosmetic issues, the prices add up. If you are comfortable with the 'vert now, you did fine, especially if you plan on keeping it for a few years. Enjoy the drive!
