You'll need the OBD-II connector (or pigtail).
You'll have to:
  • add a fused 12V battery wire to pin 16
  • add ground to pins 4 and 5
  • run the serial data wire from pin 2 to the PCM (BLUE connector, pin 58)

You wont' be able to "make a 94 OBD-I connector into a 96 OBD-II connector".

So what i gather from this, is that to feed information from computer to the OBD 2 port, I only need one wire (serial wire) coming from the computer to the OBD port. Im looking to do some logging with efi live which plugs into the obd.

Wow that alot easier than I had planned. Thanks for sharing

OK, so I ran all of these wires to the obd2 port connector like you said. But what do I do with the original harness obd1 wiring? DO I use that at all or just omit it from the obd1 connector?

Last I remember is that u don't even need to use the obd1 wires if u make your own. Just tuck the obd1 connector away.
