Thumbs up Road Race C6Z, RHS 427, Carnage!

It isn’t everyday that we purchase, assemble, and ship a C6 Z06 road race car half way around the world to a customer in Norway, but when we do, it leaves the Vengeance Racing facility with a nasty RHS 427 under the hood and all of the power, torque, and reliability necessary for several seasons worth of high-power competitive racing.

Interestingly, this build started with an already assembled, highly competitive, and somewhat raw C6Z that we purchased from a local road racer to send to our customer in Norway. There was only one problem… The stock LS7 was, well, completely destroyed. Valve, meet block. Block, valve.

With the old motor out and the majority of the stock LS7 parts in the trash, we began assembly of the new 427, starting with a 4.125-inch bore standard deck RHS block. Our in-house technicians assembled the entire engine, which was built with reliability, longevity, and power in mind.

Engine:
RHS Standard Deck Block; 4.125-inch Bore
Callies 4-inch Crankshaft
Callies Rods
Wiseco Forged Pistons
Calico Coated Main/Rod Bearings

Mast Motorsports 274cc LS7 Cylinder Heads
VR Custom Camshaft
Morel 5206 Link Bar Lifters
Hardened Pushrods
Cometic 6 bolt MLS Gaskets
ARP LSX 6 bolt head studs
Cloyes Single Roller Extreme Duty Timing Set
Katech LS9 Oil Pump

Results:
With a focus on stout power production while maximizing reliability, we were happy to see over 50 lb-ft of torque carry horsepower to 577. On the track, this RHS 427 will power out of the corners and carry major speed on the straights, which is exactly what our customer was looking for.

577-rwhp / 507 lb-ft of torque

Looks nice!

Words can't describe the amount of sadness I endured by viewing the LS7 carnage
