I have a 2006 LS2 out of a trailblazer. I put a edelbrock 7118 carb setup on it with the edelbrock timing control module. If the 06 Trailblazer LS2 has the 24x reluctor and the 1x cam gear the LS1 timing control should work right?
The reason I ask is it starts up and idles fine but as soon as you put any load on the engine it sputters and backfires out of the exhaust. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I had the same issue with a 5.3,swap outer map sensor wires at map connector and see what happens,fixed mine
