Question Gauges go wild when I crank my car

I put a 422 and a th400 in my car years ago and ever since, when I start the car, the gauges all max out, then go to 0, then stabilize at whatever they should be when I start my car. This takes about 2 seconds. I just had a new motor put in and it still does it. Has anyone seen this before?

Yes, when the battery is bad or the grounds are rusted or missing

That was my thinking too, but I'm on a brand new battery.

My 2000 Firehawk did this after Grantelli converted the speedo to 200mph. It never caused any issues so I just learned to live with it. Interested to see what you find out.
