I love the sound of my T/A. It goes from obnoxious to insane. Pacesetter long tubes, 2 QTP electric cutouts, Y pipe, 3 inch pipe all the way. 1 high flow worthless cat (for inspection visuals only) and Magnaflow cat back. It rocks!

Now, if I were to start over, only thing I'd change is I'd go Stainless headers, X pipe, and true duals. QTP cutouts not sure, they leak and can drag on a lowered car.

He already has an LS6 intake....lucky dog. First I'd do a lid. After that you're going to want to research before you do exhaust. Some exhaust that sounds sexual on manifolds will sound like hammered dog **** with longtubes, whereas others get even better. Go to ls1sounds.com and listen to the clips on there to get an idea of what you like. Everyone has a different idea of what sounds good. Personally I like the sound of GMMG/Madhammer on stock manifolds. But that gets raspy with longtubes. So Ive pretty much said all of that to say to decide whether or not you're eventually going to get headers, then build your exhaust with that in mind. Once that's done, get yourself a tune.

I have a 6spd and cash really isn't an issue but I'd like to keep it reasonable and pull off about 400hp if possible and maybe add a gear and a set of long tube headers I'm looking for a great sound but not a tone of rasp it has a loud mouth 1 on it right now I think

Do everything at once. I would have saved ALOT of money that way. If you want 400, look at my set up. It did 414.

The best starter mod is to start saving for a well thought-out package of modifications for your car that meet your specific set of wants and goals.

Decide exactly what you want re: driveability, performance, room for future growth, etc.

Come up with a planned set of modifications based upon that, and SAVE.

You waste time, money, and effort doing things piecemeal. And sometimes you back-track as well.

Once you come up with a plan, some things may be feasible to bolt-on early before you can afford to do it all. But come up with the plan first.

Think before acting.

Yes thats the power at the rear wheels. The dyno charts are on my page in the sig below. I am not sure exactly how much everything cost. I would estimate you could do it all at once for around $5,000 with parts, supporting mods, labor, tune.

Heres how the loudmouth 1 sounds with ory / headers.

Is there any sense in getting a fast intake throttle body combo where I already have a ls6 intake?

Lid, longtubes and tune. That's my vote.
