Default Finished true duals, fuel lines are too close.

Ok so I just finished up my eBay true duals. Ran those with flowmaster 1 chambers. Ill tell you all right now, that this set up does not fit, unless you extend the pipes. Passenger side isn't bad, but drivers side muffler is literally touching the fuel lines, and the torque arm. Maybe 1/8th inch of clearance. I tried to flip them up but couldn't get them to budge enough, so as a temp fix, I wrapped the hell out of the lines with heat reflective tape, put on some Heaterhose, then wrapped them some more. Used a whole roll of like 15 feet. I plan on running the pipe back a little more to get some clearance, but until then am I ok to drive it? It wouldn't be long distances. Maybe just to a shop to fix it up. I also have to adjust the x pipe to tuck up more to the driver side floor.

In for pics sounds whatever. I think you will be fine as long as no dirct contact and the tape is rated for at least 500 degrees.

There probably is direct contact at times. And don't have good pics, but here's a video.

Old vs new

Zero clearance

Before I wrapped the hell outta the lines

3 inch. It's touching the fuel lines. But I'm gunna run pipe to make it better. The pipe of the headers can be tucked better.

I couldn't. I was having difficulty. That's not my problem area, it's where the lines tie after the tunnel.

That shouldn't be a problem to clearance. Mark the muffler top on each side of the line pack where it's touching. Remove, heat up the spot with a torch, lay a piece of pipe on it and GA-DONGGGGG with a hand sledge. Also when you get tired of those turndowns ringing your bell you can angle both inward so they fire at about 45 degrees towards each other and the ground to cancel out a good bit of the resonance.

ive been driving the car to the gym and whatnot. (only about a mike) aside from a little drone and interior noise, it sounds aweosme. what are the chances of the car catching fire? Id rather that not happen.

Fire is possible with direct contact or no air space. Maybe you can wrap mufflers with header wrap or ???

Question, with your setup do you think it's necessary to run dual cut outs? Trying to decide if there will be much of a difference in sound

I fixed the lines, moved em up a few inches. I don't think cut outs would be good.
