Programming vin number?
I have a question. It might be a question that had been asked before but is there a way you can go into the Ecu with hp tuners or any other tuning software at that could you program a different vin into the Ecu?
It would be nice to go to the inspection place and when they scan the car it sees its a mustang vin then the Chevy vin.
Any info on this?

From my HP Tuner interface
Change VIN Rules
The following checks are in place when using the Change VIN function:
You must have support for the vehicle you are modifying.
You must have support for the new VIN you are trying to write.
The new VIN must be valid and must qualify for the OS currently found on the VCM.
Looks like it could be done
