Default best performance trans for 700-800hp turbo zo6

Just wondering what the best aftermarket t56 for a dd c5 zo6 turbo car with 700-800hp.I go to the drag strip very often. Also im on a budget so im looking for something under $3000 if possible. I really wanna try and get the transzilla t56 magnum but its expensive. i would love to hear what everyone else is running in there high hp turbo/supercharged cars and what you guys paid for them.

I ran a stock T56 for years. Companies are out there to make them without a doubt better, even as strong as TR6060's. All come at a cost, no matter how you look at it. I ended up splurging and getting a TR6060 and new C6 diff/cradle assembly. two reasons, I wanted a better layout, I think the C6 diff setup/mounts are more solid/stable compared that to a C5(2 bolts rear mounted vs 4 side mounted). Second, I did well on a stock trans before, a stock 6060 has done wonderous things at some crazy power levels plus,...getting the ZR1 spec my 6th gear is useable.

Anywho, a local shop here will rebuild a trans for probably less then that but it all depends on upgrades. Things get expensive quick.

Just get a strong output shaft in it and shift it smoothly. You'll have to upgrade to the T6060 like stated to get any decent strength increase. It takes $$$$ to do the t6060 btw.

yeah i been looking at rpm but if i can ever get in touch with eastcoast performance corvettes it sound like they would be the best bet for the power i should be making. They turn your t56 into a tr6060. Any of you guys know anyone running the transzilla t56 magnum?

iirc the magnum is just a name for the t6060.

thanks for clarifying that for me i was reading an artical and i got kinda confused. So question would you say sense the magnum is a tr6060 to get the east coast corvette tranny. What they do is take your t56 put tr6060 guts in it (make it a magnum). Then the add all the performance upgrades from tremecs tr6060. I think it would be stronger that way but i dont know trans i could be wrong.
