Default Any issues w/replacing a LS1 oil pump w/LS6

I have a 98 Z28 and I am looking to replace my oil pump. Is the LS6 pump a direct replacment or is there some fabricating that needs to be done ? For those who have done it, why kind of pressure increases did u see ?

Direct Replacement. I personally went with a Ported LS6 from Thunder Racing. 5-10psi higher, I went with it more for the reliability of buying a new pump when I did swaped cams

It's a straight forward swap. Took me about 15 mins. Figure 2 hours for you

Get the oil pan as low as you can, don't loose the o ring between the pump and the pick up tube. Call me if you have any issues

Do you have to lower the pan if you are swapping the cam at the same time

Lowering the pan just makes it easier to get to the bolt that holds the pickup tube on.
