Default PCM tune ?

Did a full rebuild and did a cam install and other supporting mods. When I did a first start. I got the " reduced engine power " message. Ppl said a tune would fix that

What do you mean when you did a first start? just starting the engine up gave you the message? Yes, a tune is needed to prevent going into reduced power mode, but it shouldn't come in just starting it up...

I agree, a tune is needed but the reduced engine power shouldn't happen at idle. Double check and make sure you got everything plugged back in, maf, tb, map, etc..

Are you sure everything else is plugged back in? Did you change the injectors, or are they stock?

You are going to have to get a scanner on it to find out - hard to diagnose something like this over the internet... you got a weird one...

Have you messed with the TB or idle set screw?

Sounds like the pcm is trying to make it idle setting off the IAC code. I just looked through a few random DBW 5.3's I tuned and all of them still had P0507 settings left stock. I havent had that code pop up before but I also never tried running one untuned.

So basically once I get a tune? This issue will be fixed or should I get another IAC

DBW doesn't have an IAC - it opens the blade vice haveing an IAC motor... that is a generic diagnostic readout. I would say a tune to get it to idle properly should get rid of your issue. Like LSX power tuning said, I've never even started one up with a cam and no tuning - I always do a base tune to get started - so I can't say I've ever seen this exact problem...

Best guess is yes, but without any kind of data log or anything to go off no one can guarantee that a tune will fix it.
