Newb Ford guy from Ne with a new LTD project. Well figured i might as well. Im Alex. Active Duty Air Force member currently in Afghanistan that has been a Ford only guy for a very long time. I respect all cars and im here to learn about the LS chevy stuff so i can do a swap into my 85 Ford LTD (fox chassis like the mustangs).
I currently have a 93 Mustang w/ a 03 Cobra swap that is my pride and joy and is decently fast. Also have a 03 Ford Lightning that is all stock except some cosmetic stuff. (Its the tow rig) My other cars is 06 Fusion thats lowered on 19s and of course my 85 Ford LTD that i want to do the swap in.
My plans are for a 5.3, auto (not sure which one yet), and a turbo to hopefully get this 4 door into the 9s.

This is my first gen 3 small block, previously only worked with old school gen 2 stuff. I know what I had to do to the motor in my '71 to get 373 rear wheel HP out of a 355 sm block. Compared to what the factory can package in modern LS architecture, its amazing. Best of luck with your project, be sure to post pics when you get going on it.
