Default 2013 GT500 vs CTS-V

Friend just got a GT500. Bone stock. From what I read they throw anywhere from 600-620rwhp stock.

Was on pump gas tune. 606rwhp. Thought I was gonna lose. Guy is a good driver he wasn't missing shifts just think auto > manual.

He kept wanting real low rolls and I was fighting traction. He had brand new tires on and he was off like a rocket.

Here we started from a higher roll and I had no traction issues...really opened on him!

From behind.. chase car bolt on c63

And from my car

NOTE all these are different races

Nice runs. 620whp is high for a stock one. Average seems to be 590.

Like I said no idea what rwhp i just seen then throw over 600.

Yes he's on same pump gas as me here, but since we both are I really didn't feel the need to mention it. The dyno here read 540rwhp for me but I don't really trust that dyno because it car had 0 deto and steady curve so no reason for it to lose so much. A cammed z06 was throwing 430rwhp on same dyno lol and a tuned m3 308rwhp...

So I'm just going with my US numbers

Nice kills!!

If hes on crap gas then hes likely not putting now as high as you may think.

Again id say this shows how strong bone stock GT500's are now...

I'm on crap gas too. I think I could net over 100rwhp just switching over to my race gas tune on VP.

Oh yeah, maybe someone could help me where to look, apparently I'm leaking oil through my mufflers... The C63 got drops of oil from my car which he claims he saw come from muffler.

Should I check rings or something? Temps are fine, a little white smoke but nothing out of ordinary..... Checked dip stick oil level is fine, maybe a tad smudge bit below what it should be but no where near alarming.

It was leaking oil because the oil drain plug was loose but I tightened it up and haven't seen it leak oil anymore from there, but that still doesn't explain at all why there would be in muffler.

The C63 windshield DID have oil on it from my car.

Good runs.
Oil from the muffler?

Probably grease coming off the muffler bearings. Might have to re-pack em

Good kill but granted that the GT500 was on the same gas as you he did pretty well for being stock.

He should be around the same power level.

This car was bought here at the agency, so it has been re-tuned for the gas down here. Not saying it's aggressively tuned or anything, but it isn't losing as much as a lot of you may think. It's got a 87 tune just like my V.

What is your PCV system setup like? I was spitting oil out the exhaust prior to getting a catch can, I've heard boosted LS cars can be really bad, outside of that
