so i started the truck yesterday! no coolant and no temp guage so i only let it run/rev for about a minute. (and idle rpm was high)

cut the key off and it kept running is the pink + wire supposed to be to a keyed ignition source? i just hooked it to the alternator haha.

The alternator? That goes staring from the battery never cutting the 12 volts.

But pink wire should be hooked to a "switched 12+ volt source"...as in gets hot ONLY when the key turns forward..good luck bro
