Got to play with my new external mic for my Hero 3, and I'm already in love. Strapped it down a couple inches from the blower on my friends car at an 1/8th arm drop event, they only prepped to the 60' so it's spinning pretty good. Got it to hook better later in the night with some suspension adjustments.


...but this video is all about the sound! I love it! Going to make a bunch more videos with it!

Damnit I hate how the first gen gopro can't use an external mic, what mic are you using? If I get a hero 3 I'm gona try a small shotgun style mic.

improved sound quality a lot but i feel as though having it right next to the supercharger droned out all other engine sounds towards high rpms... but who cares cause supercharges sound good to them selves haha

It's not a GoPro accessory, it's just one I picked up at Guitar Center.

That was the point, to drown out everything else! I'll stick my GoPro near the exhaust next time and have the exhaust note caught as well as the blower.
