This week, my PCM threw P1153 O2 Insufficient Switching (Bank 2 sensor 1)..
I have not noticed anything change in engine performance or gas mileage. The only reason why I'm really concerned is that I need to pass an emissions test and won't be able to with this code.

Before I purchase a new O2 sensor, I'm going to try and switch the O2 sensor to the drive side to see if the code follows to the other side.



I know this has been covered a lot, but what I need to know is which front O2 sensor should I get? I have SLP LT and ORY. I know of the stories between Bosch, Denso etc. I was thinking of purchasing NGK because they're 10% off at a near by store.

I have read the the Corvette rear O2 sensor is good for F-Body's? So to clarify... I can use a REAR Corvette O2 for the FRONT in an F-Body? In this scenario, will I need an extension or will the Corvette sensor wire be long enough to fit in my headers?

All of the O2 sensors are the same on the fbody... the difference is the length of wire. So people will buy the rear corvette ones for fronts, same thing just longer wires. Or you could get an O2 extensions.

Yes...go with the vette 02s, longer wire and higher heating element. Best 02s you can get

From my experience even with new vette Denso O2's the codes would not go away. After some research on here it seems like a somewhat common problem, and my tuner decided the best solution was to tune out the codes. Good luck, and let us know what option you go with and how it works for you!

Don't the 1133/1153 codes suggest an exhaust leak somewhere between the head ports and front O2 sensor, or not necessarily??

Also, I am STILL confused as the the BRAND of Vette O2s everyone is always suggesting, or does this mean to just get the GM, or Delcos, which I take for granted are repackaged Densos????
