Default kvelasco d1 procharger run9.15

99 ss Camaro w a stock ls1 block and rotating assembly, 317 heads, D1 procharger, fast 92, kooks long tubes. Heads are untouched, bottom end is factory high mile ls1. The 9.15 run was on foot brake and a 2000 rpm launch, normally its a 5000 rpm launch on the trans brake but the travel limiters need to be hooked up again. 60' Is off and looking like there is a possible 8.9? Run still left to go....

It was about 17 pounds on that run, on a mustang dyno i think it made 617hp at 6300rpm. That run i did leave off the trans brake at 2800rpm. A earlier run i had a 1.285 60 foot but the bolt for the travel limiter broke and made the car pull towards the wall and i had to let out of it. Hopefully with some good weather and the suspension sorted i can squeek an 8 second pass out of it. Jeff Lowry is the man at tuning, ive put over 15000 miles on this engine with over 13pounds of boost.

That's impressive. Who needs a turbo when a D1 can run like that. Any meth/water?

I have to ask, what in particular you took out of the car to get it to that weight. I have been pulling weight for 2 months, and knowing what you took out can shed some light on where I might land.

I forgot to mention it earlier, but that car runs like a raped ape.

Thanks guys I appreciate the compliment!!!! I did get I little crazy with weight reduction. I pulled power steering and went with a remote waterpump setup. Also installed a manual master cylinder but still have stock front brakes. Went with kirkey racing seats, removed rear seats and speakers. I ditched the ypipe and full exhaust, installed mufflers off the headers with turn downs turned sideways. ( really isn't that loud) Removed park brake stuff, also wipers. Hope that helps
