Default Whats a large cam for a 382 stroker engine?

Im thinking about going to a 382 Stroker setup. I know that a wild cam in a 346 car is more mild in a 382 car. Well I had already bought the G5X3 cam for my H/c 346, but now that I have decided to go with the 382, I would like to know what a good performing cam for the 382 would be. About the same as far as radical as the G5X3 would be in the 346.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on this. I think now that Im going with the 382 setup I can go bigger than the G5X3...

Any thoughts??

Thanks

wow, nice setup!

my puny 236/232 .602/.575 112 cam is making pretty good power, but I want to go with something in the 250 range, traditional split .600ish lift 110lsa. should be 500 no problem. maybe 51X or so

No not yet, I haven't run this cam yet actually, Keith Craft is finishing some things up (switched to newer stage III z06 heads, 90mm TB, etc).

Brian at Texas Speed recommended thier new Texas Giant for my new 382. I will have to get the exact specs. Needless to say, its a big thumper.
