Default help me build my turbo setup

Goal is 600-700rwhp through a t56

Was thinking either 5.3 or 6.0. Lq4 or lq9? Stock lq9 long block or lq4 with 243's or keep 317's? Not sure on compression or boost psi

76mm or 88mm?

Plan on the hinson single turbo kit. Re use passenger side manifold.

Vic Jr with elbow. & 90mm t.b

Ls6/9 cam or off the shelf 224-230?

Head stud's. Not sure on injector size.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind it's a budget build. I'm only researching and planning ahead right now. Getting ideas on what parts to look for

Keep it really simple. I would do either a 4.8 or 5.3 since their most likely gonna be the cheapest. Tick stage 2 cam, brian tooley springs, keep stock 862 heads, ls9 head gaskets (7 layer ones), kmj head studs, siemens 80lb injectors, and do the borg s475 with the 96mm turbine wheel.

Thanks for the response! I'm considering different options and just trying to figure out which road to take. Basically asking "what would you do?"

I'm not against a 5.3 but don't really want a 4.8 but I'd possibly entertain the idea.

I like your idea though. Would that be close to 600rwhp

Ok, well, a 5.3 or a 4.8 will be a good budget build. 600RWHP isnt hard to accomplish with these blocks. Planning on running a stock bottom end right?

Sorry I couldn't get more detailed. I just dunno how to guess my budget at this point.

I really prefer 6.0 unless there really is no advantage over a 5.3.

But... A 5.3 with 317's, ls9 gaskets, stud's, 76mm okay? Maybe 17psi? Decent cam?

Yeah the build looks great! I'm doing a bunch of changes coming up. Went auto swap and going to go back to a 6 speed too.

What all did you do ? Anything with the heads? Your goals are at least 600 right?

Nice.

I bought an 00 5.3 pulled the stock 862s and sold them, bought a set of 799s, had them milled .006, and then intake gasket matched and cleaned up. Did a Tick custom cam package, new LS7 lifters and new LS2 lifter trays, KMJ headstuds and Cometic head gaskets.

It should make 600 easy, and am hoping for more.

I would rather have the smaller cubes. I may build a forged 327" large bore with LS3 heads and spin the **** out of it with my blower. I can see making 1000+ with that setup. I can see making 750ish with my current setup.

Here is a great recipe for success:

LQ4
BWS475 or 76mm compressor or 80mm compressor with 87mm turbine wheel 1.0 AR housing
230/235 .609"/.610" 114+5 cam
Victor Jr. intake
ARP head studs

As far as injectors I'd go ahead and do 96lb. injectors.

If you did a 5.3 I would change the turbo to a PT7675 as Joe mentioned OR do a BWS475 83mm turbine and 1.10 ar housing and a 226/237 .605"/.610" 114+5 camshaft.
