Default Crazy hard shifting after Frost tune? Help!

Had my cars (01 auto TA) pcm tuned by frost this week after i had my pacesetter LT's, TSP ypipe and catback put on. Now with the pcm reinstalled in the car it will shift from 1st to 2nd EXTREMELY hard. All the other shifts are nice and firm, key word is firm not hard. Shifting 1st to 2nd i can just barely go over idle and it doesnt shift quite as hard but when you pull away from a red light or stop sign normally it will try and kick back very hard. I expected and wanted firmness but not getting hit by a rhino. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Did it fade over time or is this something i need to have sent back to frost to be retuned? Thanks for any and all help!

Is the best way just to wait until he responds to email or is there a better way?

mine was the same, I waited to long to install the ecu so I couldn't get any changes done without paying. I ended up buying hptuners and using stock trans settings from a different vehicle and it worked out.

Frost got himself another job so tuning is secondary to him ATM. Next time go see Ed Hutchings at hitechtuning.

I had this symptom when maxing shift pressure under all loads. Pressure should be maxed at wot, but normal driving has a table with much lower pressure. Mainly noticeable in 1st to 2nd.

He probably copied the wot table to the normal table.

Where are you getting that from. I just saw this on his web site.

9-09-2013 - Back from almost two weeks of vaction! All PCMs received will be shipped back by tomorrow (9-10-13) and all delay in turnaround will be gone by then as well.

Base pressure table needs adjusted in HP Tuners. We just adjusted my sons a couple days ago that was having the same problem. I am really surprised a mail order tune would adjust from stock trans settings
