Nitto 555r Review
So I finally and broke down and got some real tires. I have zr1 10.5" wheels on the back so the tire size is 315/35/17. My wheels came with the Sumitomo HTR-Z, these lasted about 10,000 miles. There was little to no traction 1st and 2nd gear. Once they were down to the wear bars, you they will break loose at 55 mph. The side wall on these tires is pretty weak and the car had some roll.
So I wanted some traction, opted for the Nitto 555r tires. The car is totally different, there are no more traction issues while power shifting, the car just pulls the front up again once shifted, no going sideways.
They are quite and the sidewall is great and handles alot better. I will be taking these to the track this weekend so I will post the track results with them.

I am really impressed, I also went from a junk cheap tire to one of the best. i shouldnt have any issues racing anyone anymore on the street. My bros 96 lt1 always beats me out of the hole because I spin so much, should be able to take him now, his car is stock!
