Default MTI C2 cam VS. Comp 224 cam

I am looking for a cam on a 112 lsa...

I am debating between the MTI C1 cam with the specs 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa and the Comp Cams 224/230 .580/.570 112lsa...

the MTI C2 cam I could buy brand new, or I can buy the Comp Cam used... can I get some feedback on these two...

and don't forget this would be my first cam so I am looking for kind of like a beginners cam... My b/f has a TR 230 on a 111lsa on his and he had a lot of trouble getting it tuned and I don't really want a lot of hassle... I will be getting tuning no matter what...

Should be unless she's using a LS1 intake. Then add another 10-15 restriction.

i will be using an LS1 intake....

the only mods I will have when getting the cam will be... headers, y-pipe (maybe a cutout), turndown, 3.73s, and lid...

or i get a custom cam from MTI, but i really wouldn't know which one would be the best for me...

Yup. TR224 or a custom. Either will do the job, custom will just do it a bit better. I'm a TR224 fan.
