I'm hoping to pick your brain a little. Everything is in. But it will not start. I'm sure it's something small but its making me crazy. The 98 sensors are still on. But I was told that the only ones I should have a problem with is the oil pressure and water temp. I grounded the extra terminal on the oil pressure. When cranking the gauge shows 35lbs. The water temp and iat are disconnected. But everything else is good. Fuel pressure is good and with a scanner hooked up tps, mass airflow, map, are all reading during cranking spark is at 14.5* rmp is at 150ish but it acts like its not firing.

To reiterate what it is: this is a 99z28 with a 98trans am motor and trans. When it had the 98 harness and computer it ran good but no gauges. Now it has the original 99z28 harness and the computer from you in it. Ay help is greatly appreciated. This is my daughters car and she gets her license in two weeks so I'm trying to have it ready for her.

Ay help would appreciated

I am not sure how to check it? I know that sounds bad but I'm 16 and learning. The scanner that I'm using is actually predator programmer that we don't use anymore. It has the ability to read codes and some real time stuff. I'm thinking its a spark problem though because I have good fuel pressure and I can smell raw fuel if I crank it for very long.

I would check fuses and make sure the coil harness is plugged in. Pull the plugs and see if they look like they are firing. If you can smell fuel it probably is a spark problem. The IAT sensor may need to be connected, but I have never tried to run without one. There are tables that rely on that IAT sensor so I would definitely hook it up.

Thanks I know there are 3 wires with 2 bolts but I put all three together with only one bolt because the bottom bolt was a bit hard to get to. Didn't think it would hurt. Guess I was wrong. That and I'm notverystrong so maybe it's not tight enough??
