If you're spinning, you ain't winning.

Good kill for the ZL1.

That 5.0 can't be much fun if it doesn't hook until 100mph... I would take the ZL1 (and I'm not a 5th gen fan).

Traction and less weight won in the end.

Great runs.... Looks like the 5.0 needs some chassis work. Zl1 moves out.

Do 5.0s have shitty suspension from the factory or something? How can you not hook on SLICKS until 3rd gear or higher?

It may, but regardless, a lot of cars don't hook on slicks. They are not meant for the street.

The gearing in the 5.0 is likely far more aggressive than the ZL1 as well. 3.73 car?

Earlier in the week, we were at the track and he was doing some suspension tuning to make it work good there. Well, he never switched it back to the street setting, so he spun his nuts off.

When we left and went home (75 mile drive), he put it back and did a dig vs himself...it hooked. Round 2 is going to be on a very prepped street, so both cars will show off everything they have.

Here is the same Mustang vs a 650rwhp 5th gen, but with the suspension set for street duty.

please dont post another video of a poorly setup car vs a proper regardless of horsepower..

its not hard to spot just by looking at wheels.

and I fully expect that 5.0 to yank that ZL1

Gotta make that (youtube) money mayne!

That's why you run the race, to see what happens. No way the ZL1 owner would let me NOT post it.

I almost titled the video, "world's fastest mouth vs 700hp 5.0" if that gives you any indication of him

...better yet, check out the thread on svtp, 2300+views already haha
