Default best hooking street tire...

Around the atlanta area there is a class that is becoming pretty popular called the "Hard Tire" class...rules are pretty simply, any power adders, no transbrake, and must run an actual street tire, not a dot approved drag radial. Im thinking about trying to run a few of their races as it seems to be a pretty neat class. With that being said, what has everyone found to be the best hooking street legal tire? They dont race on the street, only on the dragstrip. Any suggestions for tire choice? The car will fit a 325 so i will be going with that size but what do you think for a tire? Also what air pressure do you think would be a good starting point...car has about 725-750 rwhp on the bottle, 8.8 rear end, and a th350 trans. Thanks in advance guys

Is it just drag radial, or no R-spec tires. Toyo R888 comes to mind.
