Default 408 block clearence

Looking at building a 408 my only question other then boring out the cylinders does anything have to be clearenced interally to allow for the larger stroke

Yes you might encounter clearance problems between the block and rod bolts.

All reputable machine shops familiar with the LSx platform will properly clearance the block for the rod bolts. It doesnt take much. Also, you will need to space your windage tray down as well to clear the rod bolts.
